  1. Collect old cardboard and flatten it into sheets.<\/li>\n
  2. With this, cover the vegetable beds.<\/li>\n
  3. With rotted down compost cover the top so that the cardboard is weighted down and will not blow away.<\/li>\n
  4. This will keep the weeds down.<\/li>\n
  5. Eventually the cardboard will break down.<\/li>\n
