Planting pumpkin, runner bean or courgette

  • Get seeds which have been saved from last year (or from the shops).
  • In this instance it is runner beans, courgette or pumpkin, could be more though.
  • Find a small plant pot which is roughly 10cm wide.
  • Fill the pot with worm castings (or compost).
  • Push one or two of the seeds into the pot.
  • Cover with more worm castings (or compost).
  • Spray the soil about three or four times to make sure the soil does not dry out.
  • Leave on a sunny location.
  • Each day check the soil has not dried out.
  • If your not able to get to the pot every day, make sure the soil is moist enough to ensure it doesn’t dry out.
