Saving Carrot and Rocket Seeds

  • Wait until the flower heads begin to brown and become dry.
  • Then cut the heads and place them in a small paper bag and leave alone until they have dried out.
  • Once the seed heads are thoroughly dry and the seeds have darkened, seal your seeds in a small envelope and label.
  • Store your seeds in a cool, dry place.

If are is no seeds available from the rocket and carrot plants do the following:

  • Dig the plants out of the ground after.
  • Ensure all the soil remains round the roots.
  • Place into a pot.
  • Pull any weeds and chop the tops off to the stem.
  • Place the pot inside until the next year.
  • Keep the soil moist by watering it.
