Harvesting potatoes

  1. Potatoes can take anywhere between 70 to 120 days to grow (find out variety and research how long)
  2. Wait until the tops of the haulms (potato leaves) have flopped to the floor before you begin harvesting, and before the hard frost.
  3. You’ll need a garden fork.
  4. Drive your fork into the soil at the outside edges of the plant.
  5. Carefully lift the soil and remove the potatoes.
